It’s not really enough to have bowls just for dinner. One meal a day doesn’t really cut it when if comes to packing in all the nutrients and vegetables and good for you stuff. Plus, who wants to wait for dinner to get their bowl fill anyways. Those of us with a serious bowls obsession can’t really wait that long. Even when it does involve copious amounts of black-eyed peas and homemade teriyaki sauce. And I’ve already admitted, that I am totally one of those can’t wait that long for a bowl kind of people.
I know it doesn’t come as any surprise that I’m really into smoothie bowls right now. I talked about it post race when we enjoyed a chocolate raspberry smoothie bowl together, and I feel like I talk about it nearly on the daily, whether in a post, or in a casual, “I feel a severe smoothie bowl craving coming on right now” conversation. Okay, maybe we didn’t actually talk about that and that’s just what I think in my head after writing for long enough. Regardless, I’m all over them.
And with the abundance of summer stone fruit and berries, it’s meant smoothie bowls like no other, every single day. Blueberry Vanilla, Strawberry Mint, Chocolate Cherry, and now of course, this lovely little bowl of goodness: Peach Pie. It’s all the flavours and goodness of peach combined with all the healthiness and goodness of a green smoothie bowl. Yes it’s green, but I promise it still tastes like peach pie. A whole bowl of it. And given how healthy it is, you can totally eat the whole thing!
